Children's Church

At OBC we recognize the importance of reaching children while they are young. A recent survey shows that 85% of all people who come to Christ, do so between the ages of 4 and 14 years old.

We believe that reaching and discipling children is of the utmost importance. The child in children's church today may become the leaders of the church tomorrow.

Lighthouse Club

One of the fastest growing ministries at Odenton Baptist Church, the children's church program is primarily an evangelistic ministry. Each week the children play games, sing songs, and enjoy a challenging message from God's Word that is specifically targeted toward their particular age group.

The goal of Lighthouse Club is to train children to serve the Master in their local church. Children in Lighthouse Club learn service to Christ through bookwork, messages, lessons, games and activities all designed with the goal of service to Christ and others. We invite you to join us on Wednesday evenings at 7:00pm.

The Lighthouse Club 3rd - 6th graders (18 children) traveled to Westminister, MD for the Annual Master Club Regional Competition. The kids really had a great time of fellowship and competition, and did really well in a number of categories.

In the team events, our group scored 3rd place in the "Discovery Zone" event (Bible quiz game) they also scored 3rd in "Right or Wrong" (Bible Knowledge game).

Our Lighthouse Club choir won the 3rd place trophy for their song "The Lighthouse Song".

We also scored many individual awards:
